Orchid are unique plants that belong to the largest family of flowering plants. There are more than 3, 000 species of wild orchids found growing in mountainous forests and valleys in malaysia. The country's tropical climate with heavy rainfall throughout the year makes it a conducive condition for these exotic flowers to thrive. Renowned for their exquisite beauties, wild orchids are epiphytes which are found to flourish on other trees for physical support without causing harm to the host. Some orchid species referred to as terrestrial can grow on soil requiring no support from other plants.
