Malaysian achieved independence from the British on the 31st. August 1957 and soon after British coins were still use as official coinage until we produced our own in 1967. Listed here are 8 different coins. The two last 1 dollar and 1 ringgit coins were withdrawn from the market because of too much imitation and no longer valid to the bearer.
