Old And New Stamps Of Hungary ( Europe )

The postal history of Hungary concerning mail delivery throughout the country was first organized by the Habsburgs under the Austro-Hungarian Empire.  Until 1871, Hungary used the same stamps as used in territories of the empire.  The postal systems of Hungary and Austria were separated following the Compromise of 1867 with both became fully  independent after 1908.  When the post office was split into separate companies, Magyar Posta JSC was established to handle the administration. After separation, the use of Hungarian language and national symbols were restored.  The emblem of the post was created ( a tasseled postal horn under the Hungarian Crown )
