World War II started on the 1st. of Sep. 1939 with the invasion of Poland by Germany. From late 1939 till early 1941, Germany formed the Axis alliance with Italy and conquering much of continental Europe. During this time when war campaigns continued, lack of currencies and coinages were not neglected as to fulfill the needs of the market. The war in Europe ended with the unconditional surrender of Germany on the 8th. of May 1945 followed by the surrender of Japan which controlled East Asia on the 15 August 1945.
