Spain ruled the Philippines from 1565 - 1898. The Philippines Revolution against Spain's domination started on August 1896 and with the help of the US, they proclaimed independence in 1898 to form the first republic but however with the signing of the Paris Treaty , Philippines was transfered to the US control. War started against the US until it was given back to the people of the Philippines at the end of World War 2 in 1946. There are 3 coins shown here.
