Malaysian First Day Cover - Mosques In Malaysia - Issued 27 August 2015

Mosques are places of worship for the Muslims in Malaysia and else where too.  This issue portrays three important mosques landmarks in Malaysia. The first one is the National mosque inspired by the first Prime Minister of Malaysia was built in 1965 and is located in the city of Kuala Lumpur. The second one is Kedah state mosque located in the heart of Alor Star the capital city of Kedah state while the third one is the floating mosque of Kota Kinabalu of Sabah state.

Old Stamps Of Lithuania ( Europe )

The postal history of Lithuania started around 10th. or 12th. century with a pre-Christian message system known as " Krivule ".  The first mail was introduced in 1562 connecting Vilnius with Krakow and Venice. The first Lithuanian postage stamps ( Balkutai issue ) were issued in Vilnius in 1918.  A total of 768 stamps of different designs were issued between 1918 and 1940.  The first airmail stamps were issued in 1921.  After the Soviet occupation of Lithuania in 1940, local stamps were replaced with Soviet made stamps.Soon after the restoration of independence in 1990, Lithuania again issued  stamps of their own ( Angelas issue )

Malaysian First Day Cover - Joint Stamp Issue Of ASEAN Community - 08 August 2015

The Joint Issue of ASEAN Community Commemorative Stamp has been issued  on the 8th. of August 2015 in conjunction with ASEAN day.  The objectives of the joint issue are to commemorate the inception of the ASEAN Community in 2015 as to strengthen and build the ASEAN spirit, and to foster closer relations and cooperation among the member nations with the theme of " One Vision, One Identity and One Community ".

New Stamps Of Slovenia ( Slovenija ) Europe ) - Old Stamps Of Slovenia April 2015

Slovenia was under the Austro-Hungarian Empire until 1819 when it became part of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenia.  Stamps that were issued specially for Slovenia were among them the well-known " Chainbreakers " series until Slovenia was annexed into the Kingdom of Yugoslavia in 1929.  The first stamps of independent Slovenia was issued on 26 June 1991. Yugoslavian stamps were valid for postage in Slovenia until 25 April 1992.

New Stamps Of Poland ( Europe )

The Polish people, after 120 years of foreign domination, now free and independent, were loath to see the continuing use of colonial stamps and were eager to start their own. Early Polish stamps were inscribed " Poczta Polska " to denote the country name while the later ones dropped the usage of poczta thus maintaining  " Polska "
