Malaysian First Day Cover - The Sultan Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah Bridge, Penang - Issued 31st. December 2014.

The Sultan Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah Bridge, also known as Penang Second Bridge is dual carriageway cable stayed bridge connecting Batu Kawan in Seberang Prai on mainland Peninsular Malaysia with Batu Maung on Penang. Island. It is the longest bridge in Southeast Asia with a total length of 24 km and 16.9 km on water.  Construction of the bridge started in November 2008 and was completed in February 2014.  The bridge which was named after the 14th. Yang Dipertuan Agong , Tuanku Abdul Halim Mua'adzam Shah of Kedah was officiated by the Prime Minister on March 1st. 2014, and was opened to the public on March 2nd. 2014.
