11.   SERIBU RUPIAH ( FAKE ).    Sukarno was born on June  06. 1901 in Surabaya and was given the name Kusno Sosrodihardjo .   His parents renamed him Sukarno after he recovered from a serious illness. His father was a Muslim school teacher while his mother a Hindu Balinese woman.   He was gifted with photographic memory and could converse in many languages.  In 1927, he led the independence movement and was put in prison by the Dutch and was later released by the Japanese.   In 1945, Sukarno became the 1st. President of the new Republic of Indonesia and held the position for almost 21 years.  He introduced the five-point Pancasila in 1945.  On October, 1965, the pro-communist party captured and killed six senior army generals.  They acted to protect Sukarno from impending army coup.  Major General Suharto quickly acted by killing 500 000 people nation-wide and imprisoned about 1.5 millions Indonesians.  On March 11, 1966, Sukarno handed over his power to Major General Suharto who later became the next President. On March 12, 1967, Sukarno was formally ousted from Presidency and put under house arrest and denied medical treatment and died of kidney failure on 21 June 1970 at the age of 69.
