New Stamps Of France ( Europe )

Postal history of France can be divided into several categories.
1. Second Republic ( 1849 - 1851 )   -  The famous " Ceres " issue of 1849 .
2. Franco Prussian War ( 1870 - 1871 ) - New Ceres stamps had to be printed in 1871.
3. Third Republic
4. 1937 - 1941
5. Liberation 1945 - 1947
6. Post War Commemorative  stamps. (  Stamps shown here are the new issues and the older ones are shown in July 2014 )

Stamps Of Iceland ( Europe )

Regular mail service in Iceland was first established by a charter of 13 on May 1776 and on 1st. January 1873, Iceland issued its first postage stamps.  The design was the same as for the Danish numeral issue of the time, denominated with  values ranging from 2 to16 Skilling and inscribed Island.  In 1876, the currency changed to aurar and krone. In 1902, numeral stamps were withdrawn and new set depicting King Christian IX was then issued. In 1907, a new series of stamps came out, featuring overlapping profiles of King Christian IX and King Frederick VII. In 1911, Iceland's first commemorative stamps were released a set honouring Jon Sigurosson on the 100th. anniversary of his birth.  King Christian X first appeared on Icelandic stamps in a new set of 1920.  In 1930, Iceland celebrated 1000th anniversary of the Althing featuring a wide variety of historical, mythological and scenic images. In 1931, stamps were overprinted Zeppelin / 1931 and also an issue depicting the Gullfoss waterfall. Iceland semi-postal stamps appeared in 1933. In 1938, a dramatic series featured images of geysir the namesake of all other geysers. There are annual Christmas and Europa issues depicting local scenery, flora and fauna, as well as the work of local artists.

Stamps Of Belarus ( Europe )

The development of postal service in Belarus started in ancient times.  In Kievan Rus there was a prince's messenger who delivered orders of the prince in various areas of the country.  In 1583, Belarus post road introduced a system of tariff which operates today in all countries of the world.  In 1793, Belarus became part of the Russian Empire.  Belarus used the postage stamps of the Soviet Union from 1917 until 1991.  In 1991 Belarus became an independent nation and began its own postal administration in 1992.  These stamps valued in roubles which were issued on 31st. of August 1992 showed the State Arm and the  National Flag  superimposed on the map of the country.

Old And New Stamps Of Posta Romana ( Europe )

On July 23rd. 1862, the 527 Decree was issued regarding the unification of the postal administration of Moldavia and Muntenia and was called Posta Romana. During the years, Posta Romana has developed an active policy meant to strengthen the co-operation and the partnerships at different levels. Posta Romana is the founding member of the Universal Postal Union since its foundation in 1874.  In 2004, Posta Romana was a host and organizer of the United Postal Union's 23rd. Universal Postal Congress which was held in Bucharest.  Posta Romana is also a founding member of Post Europ in 1993.
