1.      BRITISH NORTHERN NIGERIA PROTECTORATE  ( NOW NIGERIA ).   Northern Nigeria was a British Protectorate which lasted from 1900 until 1914 in the present-day Nigeria. The protectorate ended in 1914, when it was unified with Southern Nigeria ( inclusive of  Niger Coast ) and the Lagos Colony to become the country of Nigeria.
