The Malaysian village landscape is filled with colourful flora and fauna. It often consists of a wide variety of domestic animals adding a whole dimension to rural life with both large animals like the water buffalo and small one like the chicken in these villages. It showcases a harmonious co-existence between man and nature. Typically villages will raise chicken, water buffalos as well as geese and goats. These animals serve various purposes including as beast of burden as well as a source of food.
