Malaysian Stamps / Miniature Sheet / FDCs - Festive Greeting - 28 March 2017

The Islamic " Thuluth Calligraphy " is used in the Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Fitri greeting. Thuluth means 1/3 and is so named because the width of the lettering is equal to 1/3 of the width of a pen. To the Chinese  " Gong He Xin Xi " means Happy Chinese New Year while the Indian " Iniye Vaalthukal Deepavali " is used as a festive greeting during Deepavali . The miniature sheet combines the calligraphy of the three festive greetings.
