Japanese Occupational Currencies - The Philippines

The invasion of the Philippines started on Dec. 8th 1941, ten hours after the attack on Pearl Harbour.  On April 1942, the Philippines surrendered to the Japanese.  Japan occupied the Philippines for over three years until the surrender of Japan when their two cities were hit by the Americans with atomic boms. Japan issued peso currencies to be used locally.
