Coins and Banknotes of Uzbekistan
These are the coins of newly independent state of Uzbekistan

According to archeologists, Uzbekistan is one of the most ancient places of human civilization. People settled on the territory of Uzbekistan centuries ago and built cities like Samarkand, Bukhara , Khiva and others. It is a history of individuals, great nation, bloody conquests, and large rebellions. Situated in the heart of Central Asia between the two large rivers Amu Darya and Syr Darya. Uzbekistan was under Russian Empire when Kokand Karnate was abolished and replaced by Turkestan Governor-Generalship on July 11 1867. In 1917, Uzbekistan was granted the status of a Soviet Republic. Fighting the Red Army from 1917 till 1921, ended up with the Russian victory. In 1924 the five republics within USSR including Uzbekistan were established which existed until 1991, when all the five states were given self-rule.
