Kashmiri Sultanate Copper Coin

Before 1346, Kashmir was a center of Buddist learning.  Lawlessness in the region enabled Shamsuddin Shah Mir to install himself as the first  Muslim Kashmiri Dynasty ruler from 1346 till 1586.  In 1586, Kashmir was absorbed into the Mughal empire during the reign of Akbar the Great. During this period Kashmir Sultans issued silver  and copper coin as shown. Now Kashmir is a state of India.
